This is one of my favorite shots. If you look you can see the woman’s silhouette. She has one arm up and reaching behind her head into her hair, and the other arm out in front. Now look where the woman’s belly button would be, and fallow the umbilical cord out to the baby. This is an amazing representation of nature mimicking nurture. Honestly I was just lucky to get this one. It was meant to be. Had nothing to do with skill. Just more proof that woman are the superior sex.

I dont know if i can call myself a photographer. But i have found comfort viewing the world through the lens when times get tough. This photo was taken at Harkness park in Waterford Ct.Time
This shot was taken mid morning during the late fall quite a few years ago. In the season of shedding our skin to be reborn. I found it truly amazing how the image captured nature mimicking nurture as it was preparing new life for the spring.Lighting
The day was beautiful. Crisp cool air bright blue sky, it was meant to be. I darkened the tree slightly and brightened the sky slightly In editing to make the silhouette of the tree pop.Equipment
A cannon rebel DSLR with Stock 18-55 lens.Inspiration
I like to capture images from angles the average passer buy wouldn’t see. These trees caught my eye with their unique branch structure now that all the leaves had fallen. So I climbed underneath them laid on my back and viewed through the camera lens looking up through the tree. As I was moving the lens around this image came in to frame so I snapped it. I remember being nervous you weren’t gonna be able to see what I saw when I got the pictures up on my computer. I was really excited after snapping the photo I felt like I just took the best picture I’ve ever taken. Gratefully it was spot on on the edits I made were slight ones to the lighting.Editing
Slight adjustments to the brightness and contrast. The image was there, i could have left it alone but wanted to make it pop a bit more.In my camera bag
I almost always just have my camera around my neck. No bag of toys because i never know what im gonna be crawling into to get a shot i want. So the less baggage the better.Feedback
Always remember there’s no rules to art. So don’t be afraid to try and snap your photos in a way that isn’t the norm. And I don’t mean just by aperture and f-stops I mean if a photo is normally taken while standing try taking it while balancing on your head from a 45° angle. Try and view what your attempting to capture from a perspective others wouldn’t typically see.
