This photo was taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (South Africa and Botswana), near Nossob camp. I was ecstatic when we came across the pride of lions - mostly females and cubs.Time
It was morning - not ideal light conditions and difficult to balance the camera and lens on the open window of our vehicle - but wonderful to capture the interaction between the females and cubs.Lighting
If you are sitting in a vehicle photographing game, you often have to take what you get, as you can't change the lighting or your view point.Equipment
This image wad taken with a Canon 450D with a 150.0 - 500.0 mm, Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3, using a beanbag for stability. No other equipment was used.Inspiration

The Kgalagadi requires patience and time. Lots of sand, heat and little shade - but amazing treasures if one is lucky enough to spot them while driving around.
