This French spirit house was built in 1766. Formerly located at the corner of Notre Dame and Louis -Hippolyte -Lafontaine , it is transported by means of a float on the current site in 1964. Louis -Hippolyte North Fontaine , an ardent defender of the French language , Prime Minister Kingdom, there lived part of his childhood.

Historic monument in 1965, restored in 1978 , it is open to the public since 1980. This ancestral house , owned by the City of Boucherville, is located in the historic La Broquerie Park , where we find a statue of Louis -Hippolyte Fountain as well as the remains of the old " Castle Sabrevois " which also carried the name " villa La Broquerie " built in 1735-1736 . In 1971 , a fire leaves in ruins. Interpretive signs and a monograph " La Broquerie " tell the story of the area and the remains.
