Location
The photo was taken at Lake St Peter, provincial park in Ontario.Time
It was taken about one hour into the morning. This lake stays fairly warm through the fall and can generate some early morning mist.Lighting
I like the angles of the lake. The shoreline provides an invitation to look down the lake. The partially blocked sun reflecting on various parts of the lake surface generates some interest for me. The ripples along the left shore, is a sign that the morning breeze will soon begin.Equipment
Just the cameraInspiration
I find this lake to be very peaceful early in the morning. Some mornings may include the cry of a loon from somewhere on the lake and echo around the lake.Editing
I try to leave the picture the way it was viewed and taken. In my camera bag

I got up early in the morning to take this picture and took a number of shots. I like the idea of something familiar to frame the shot on either side of the foreground, as it helps to provide some depth.
