Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at the Legislative building in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

Time

It was a Sunday and most public places aren't really open during that day but for sime strange reason we were let in, This was the 1st week that i had my Nikon D3000 and was my very first DSLR.

Lighting

All the indoor lights were off so i had only the sun outside beeming through the window as source of light, it was perfect when I saw it so I had to take the opportunity.

Equipment

It's my very first DSLR ever, It was a Nikon D3200 and only used the kit lens, I did had to lay flat on my tummy to get the angel I wanted, good thing the floor was marble and the janitor did an amazing job cleaning it.

Inspiration

The chaos of the hallway from monday to friday was the inspiration for the photo, I really want to showcase that amidst the crazy political and life changing policies that this hallway baref witness that there is always time for some peace.

Editing

I took the photo in color but decided to show a bit more drama by having it in black and white, making the viewer appreciate what the hallway represent and the stories it can tell.

In my camera bag

I only carry around the charger, spare memory cards, UV filter and my trusty hand strap.

Feedback

My advice for other photographers is just keep taking pictures, appreciate your shot, don't worry about what others see let them see what you saw.
