Behind The Lens

Location

This image was captured at Oak Openings Metropark (Swanton, OH), along the Evergreen Lake trail.

Time

Early morning.

Lighting

Light is the key element to any photograph. Always be aware of lighting conditions, they change rapidly.

Equipment

Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera body with 18-55 mm zoom lens, I also carry a Canon 75-300mm zoom lens and Sigma 150-600mm zoom lens. Occasionally I shot with a mono-pod indoors and have a nice Bogen 3170 tripod for other work.

Inspiration

The scene as it presented itself.

Editing

No, other than some cripping. I only have the capabilities of Windows-10. I've also studied composition since 1971 with photo-books and looking at other photographers/artists work.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera body with 18-55 mm zoom lens, I also carry a Canon 75-300mm zoom lens and Sigma 150-600mm zoom lens. Occasionally I shot with a mono-pod indoors and have a nice Bogen 3170 tripod for other work.

Feedback

Lighting is the key for a great photograph.. Always be cognizant of the lighting conditions around you and you relationship to the lighting source. Sometimes a ray of sunshine coming through the forest canopy can make all the difference between a picture and a photograph.
