Location
This photo was taken at view point called "Goose Island" at Glacier National Park, Montana , USA.Time
We have reach the spot around 5:30 PM, have set up my tripod and waiting for nice sunset picture . It was sunny but unfortunately, sky was covered with full of clouds followed by light rain. I have lost the hope of getting the sunlight back again. Then all of a sudden, the sunlight came of through the clouds and then the perfect moment when the golden sunlight illuminated part of the hill and I clicked my shutter. This picture was taken on 5th of July 2013 during sunset around 7 PMLighting
This was taken during sun set immediately after light rainfall.Equipment
I have used my Nikon D7000 to take this picture mounted on a tripod. I have use my 18 to 105 mm lens and the picture was captured at 40 mm. Shutter speed 1/2.5 second at F8.Inspiration
I am a nature lover, this place is very popular for sunset of sunrise picture. Though i was expecting to see a perfect refection of the mountain in the lake i did not get that. Instead I have got an usual sunset light.Editing
There was very little post progressing done for this image just to sharpen a bit and little bit of color enhancement using PhotoshopIn my camera bag
Since I normally love taking landscape picture , I always do have a 10 -24 mm Nikkor lens in my bag along with 18 to 105 mm lens. I alos carry my 70 to 200 mm lens.Feedback
Photographer needs to be prepared with right equipment, have patience and wait for the right moment. Nature is extremely unpredictable, right moment can just come once everybody else lost the hope of getting anything good.
