Location
This photo was taken from Centre Island across downtown Toronto, Ontario. Centre Island is where you can get the best view of the beautiful skyline of Toronto.Time
I actually had gone to capture the Skyline view during Sunset. I went there way earlier around 6.00 PM because I was just getting bored at home. I felt Its better to hang out on an island rather than home on a beautiful evening. I captured this photo around 6.30 PM when the sun was right behind C.N.Lighting
Tower and the clouds had gathered at a much lower level. The sun was right behind C.N. There were natural rays coming through the clouds.Equipment
I used a Trident's tripod, Nikon D5300 with a NIkkor 55-300 mm Lens. Settings used were Camera: NIKON D5300 Aperture: 9/2 ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/500 Focus Length: 300Inspiration
I always love capturing the C.N. My biggest inspiration at that time was basically everything that was around me. I believe that everything surrounded by us is constantly inspiring us. It takes a real eye and vision to be able to be inspired by our surroundings.Editing
Yes, I did play around with the clouds, the sun ray's that are coming through, and colour balance. Rays were manipulated and they were very subtle originally, I made it a little over exposed and intensified the rays. Thats I believe makes this image look majestic. If you haven't noticed, some rays start from front of the C.N. Which obviously shows it was manipulated a little bit.In my camera bag
I am an entry level photographer. I have very basic equipment. here it is. Nikon d5300 Body 18-55 Kit lens 50 mm Prime lens 55-300 Telephoto lens 2 batteries Mini gorilla tripod Lens cleaning brush Microfiber cloth Extra caps and covers. 64Gb Sd cardFeedback
Timing is everything. Always observe at the sky, clouds, the lighting, the atmosphere.. When you feel that it is going to be a beautifully lit evening, go out there and start clicking..
