Location
I took this photograph in my apartment where it is growing, Los Angeles Ca. This is a novelty type Phalaenopsis that I grow under lights.Time
I'm not sure of the time of day because it is indoors under grow lights and they stay consistent all day long.Lighting
Fill flash is my friend, especially with indoor and greenhouse photography. Outdoors I have learned to use the ambient light to my advantage, along with the aperture settings in my camera.Equipment
I used my Galaxy S10+ cell phone to take the photoInspiration
I constantly take photographs of my orchids and post them online, I have over 1000 plants so I constantly have something to photograph and post. This happens to be one of my favorites.Editing
I only did a little cropping to center the flower on the screen and enlarge it.In my camera bag
When I go out to take photos I use my Canon 7D Mark2 but for my orchids, I only carry my cell phone so that's what I use.Feedback
In my greenhouses is can be very brightly backlit so I use a fill flash on a lower setting to get a crisp shot of the flowers I'm photographing.
