This would have been taken with my D750 when I first purchased it and only had one lens at the time which was my 50mm 1.8g PrimeInspiration
My nan and brother are on a famous evacuee Bristol photo and I did it as a past tribute to the original photo.Editing
I literally turned it into basic black and white.colour was good but didn't give it the required atmosphere that I was looking for.In my camera bag
I still have my D750 but now I tend to use my f2.8 24-70mm and f2.8 70-200mmFeedback
Yes when doing a shoot like this I tend to go to the venue literally when it opens and when there is no large events on. In certain places I ask if they mind, I also Respectfully purchase tickets for the venue or ride in this case as they are trying to run a business as well. I have a very creative brain so most of my shoots are not planned out, but I know what I'm going to the destination for and always have a good look at places where I think would make a good shoot. The children in the picture are my autistic 12 year old on the right and another photographers son, who get on very well together, and so that's always a massive bonus when working with children on a Project. Above all Make sure you have all the props and everything you need before hand, but rather than just buying for he sake of 1 shoot, think of other ideas you can use it for. For example I purchased a very old war suitcase with his shoot that I have used several times over with other retro shoots.. Above all be passionate in your ideas and get the models/actors to be passionate about it to by making it fun. Finally most of my final edits including this one was when the kids were listening to the whistle and not taking note of the camera, so the reaction was natural and not a camera pose.
