This beautiful gorilla lost his life on 5-28-16 because a child climbed into the zoo enclosure. While it looked as though he was protecting the child, the zoo had to make the heart wrenching decision to kill him in order to save the child. The gorilla was getting upset with all of the people screaming. He turned 17 years old the day before and his breed is highly endangered. So sad. He will be missed. #heartbroke
