Behind The Lens

Location

I have the canal running at the back of my flat. This is useful if I just want to get up and go. I am unable to get out as often as I wish due to ill-health

Time

It was taken mid afternoon, I'd just got back from the shop and thought go for it

Lighting

Used just the natural light

Equipment

Just canon 650d with with my 15--85 efs lens thats it

Inspiration

I always try to capture the normal but from a different view point. This image caught me, the view through the bridge with the reflection on the water,canal boat to one side with the owner pottering about

Editing

A mixture of photoshop cc with the camera raw filter then basic edit in lightroom

In my camera bag

Depends on mood and location, this image just picked up my camera from the side with lens attached very basic. I dont own much more anyway so use what I've got

Feedback

Keep it simple, if like this, the location is local. Look where you can use the surrounds for framing,whenever possible. Stay alert, but remember what drew you into the scene and try to portray that to the viewer. Don't try to complicate the image
