Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the gulf of bisquay. We were en route to africa for three months for humanitary aid.

Time

It was at noon during a storm that lasted for a few days.

Lighting

The light wasn't exactly great what's a bit normal during a storm but lucky it was enough to capture the beautiful blue of the water.

Equipment

Just the camera in the hand. It was a Nikon D3000 what was my first camera still with its original kitlens.

Inspiration

I was amazed about the force that a great amount of water could bring when it is in motion. And because of all the noise and movements of the ship i was courious about how it looked on the outside. So i took my camera, just in case, and went to the bridge. What i saw was a dance between a man made object and mother nature herself in a voilent but also elegant way.

Editing

Just a little bit to enhance the colours

In my camera bag

At that point nothing, but now i always have everything with me so i'll never have the chanse to miss something because i don't have the right lens with me. But by all, everything fits in my backpack so i can go everywhere and be free.

Feedback

Take lots and lots of pictures and don't stop until you have THE one. Also adjust Tour shutterspeed to the maximum so you have those nice details. But most important don't give up bacause you have a few failures, they are just ways how not to do it.
