Location
I took this photo in Westminster in LondonTime
I took this at sunset in summer, so it would have been around 9pmLighting
I am a fan of natural, and so this type of shot lends itself to that very nicely.Equipment
I used a Canon 1dx, Canon 24-70 2.8, a manfrotto tripod & a cable release timerInspiration
I do a lot of walking around London. Always looking for opportunities to take a photo. On this occasion I was on the Southbank, and I felt that there was going to be an interesting sunset, and so headed for a landmark. My chosen backdrop was parliament, a place which I have shot many times, as I worked in the area for many years.Editing
I did some minor tweaking with Lightroom such as contrast, brightness, spot removal, saturationIn my camera bag

In my last answer, I mentioned that I carry a bottle opener. I am certainly not an alcoholic, indeed never been drunk in my life, there are times when I will get to potential shooting location, I will spend time surveying the area or just trying to form a picture in my mind. Looking for angles. Checking weather etc long before I reach into my bag for my camera/tripod etc. So my advice would be, if you have time, take time to take in the atmosphere and formulate how you wish to shoot, and perhaps occasionally do it over a cider as I do. Don't rush the drink, and don't shoot until you've finished it. This gives you plenty of thinking time. FYI, it takes me 20-30minutes to get through my one and only drink when I do.
