Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on my way to my sister in laws home. John Brown Rd., is a very long back road that weaves in an around the back roads of Queen Anne's County Maryland. Such a beautiful shadow covered drive. It brings a peaceful calm to me. I wanted to exspress my emotion thru my eyes.

Time

It was in July mid evening believe it or not. Humidity was sweltering, all you needed was a bar of soap.

Lighting

Lighting I've always gone with my emotion. I just make sure that I have the depth an clarity on what I'm trying to capture that feeling thru my eyes, that probably sounds so backwards an around the corner, but lighting in this actual picture was something artistically I could bring to this picture or take away, depending if I am using it just for photo only uses. I could take this picture an canvis it, oil paint an accent it, which I also love to do. I'm so humbled truly by being noticed at all by you wonderful individuals who actually noticed me a sand pebble among many. So hard to exspress really. I can, own my own deck of cards an admit my span of travel is limited, but within one square mile an a little imagination, maybe I could find "it" an that's all I can do. So precious.

Equipment

This was shot with my Apple iPhone an worked on thru LR.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this shot was, the reoccurring emotion that part of my drive coming to this bend of the road, enveloped safely by grand trees, with a feeling of coming home. Coming home.

Editing

I will have to look that one up. So silly am I. LoL.

In my camera bag

In my case is my Nikon an chargers in my other. A cardboard box side if needed for lighting an maybe a towel or blanket if I need to be on the ground.

Feedback

Advice, hmm, would be wherever you go make sure your camera comes along Make a note of your area your in where certain spots bring certain emotions. Are there certain areas around where you may live that give you that feeling. Write it in your phot journal. Oh. Make a phot journal. Smiles to all. Just Joy.
