I took this picture of Pino, a German Shorthair Pointer, in a small village called Osweiler, which is an old farmer village. I like it because you're so close to nature, no matter where you start walking, in a matter of a few minutes, you're in the middle of nowhere. There are still a few farmers doing their jobs and one very good Italian Restaurant that I can only recommend. The owner loves to sing and often gives his customers a nice little italian charming concert.Time
I usually go with my wife, kids and dog for a nice evening walk and we're often joined by our best friends who also have two dogs. We usually do the same routes but we like to change from time to time. It's an ideal place for the dogs because you don't need to have then in a leash all the time.Lighting
The picture I took was on a rainy winter morning. (not really the perfect day for picture taking) but it doesn't seem to matter if the main subject gives you the oppurtunity to take cool picturesEquipment
I had my nikon D90 with a Tamron 17-270mm objective an was on my knees.Inspiration
I'll start from the beginning. We saw Pino on a spanish website called www.ciudadanimal.org which is a animal rescue and refuge for dogs that have been mistreated or found on the spanish roads. We had a few dogs in mind that both my wife and kids wanted to adopt and after consulting the refuge, the decision fell for Pino, and ever since we got him, he's been part of the family and he still shows his gratitude today, 2 years later. My dog inspired me as I always love to watch him when he comes running torwards me in his exiting way.Editing

I love to keep it simple. Just the camera and my lensFeedback
Keep the dog exited and get on the floor. You get amazing shots when your at the same height as the dog. You might get wet knees but it worth it. This also goes for pictures you want to shoot with kids. Get down and you'll have a whole new perspective and great shots.
