Location
This was taken in Panama City, Panama, on a walkabout one morning, we were walking through some older areas and found this Beetle along with one other car under a blue Tarp in a driveway of a house. thew wind had blown the tarp off the car and judging the condition of the car had not moved in a long time,Time
This was about 10 am in the morning, Panama city can be a very humid place at times but this day it was very pleasant to go to the not so traveled parts.Lighting
This was shot in the mid-morning and was natural daylight, but quite overcast and some shadows from the building on either side.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 6D and 24-105mm lens. it was handheld, no tripod, no FlashInspiration
I thought that the area was quite run down and a lot of mildew on the houses and the sidewalks. the car was exposed from under the tarpaulin showing the same mildew and the unkempt look that went with the area. I have always like the VW bug and this I thought was a sad photo, of a great vehicle in its day. so I shot it tight and as close as possible.Editing
Not too much Post in this just a bit of straightening and a bit of sharpening. In my camera bag
Usually, I have either the Canon 6D or the Canon 80D, my lenses are normally the 24-105mm and a nifty 50mm 1.8 along with a Canon 600 Flash. spare batteries and lens cleaning equipment. Not too much as the heat and humidity can drag your well-being down if you have too much Stuff to drag around.Feedback
Always look for the unusual, the odd and the different. do not fire off tonnes of shots right away but have a good look around to see if it looks better from different angles, height, and composition.
