Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken at Duder Regional Park, Auckland New Zealand. I am self taught. Have got books out of the library and learnt a lot from programs on you tube.

Time

I love taking photos of little children as they are just them selves and most of the time don't have any idea about posing for the camera. This photo was taken between 7am and 8am. Towards the end of April. It was a lovely morning. Took the photo at the beach. He was running around and just happen to stop at the right moment and I took the shot

Lighting

It was still early in the morning which was awesome as there was no glare from the sun. The lighting and the spot I was taking the photo in was just perfect

Equipment

I used my 60d canon and 70-300 sigma lens. Camera setting was Av and F5.6. No tripod or flash was used

Inspiration

The area which had a lovely surrounding of trees and also this little boy is just is so photogenic

Editing

Just a little in element 9. I took the photo in colour then changed it into black and white and cropped the picture.

In my camera bag

My camera, 50mm lens, 24-105mm lens, 70-30mm lens and 1020mm lens. Spare battery. A few memory cards. Remote control. One Flash. Cleaning equipment for the camera. My manual book for the camera.

Feedback

Try and get out as much as you can and take pictures. For me reading and finding out as much as I could has helped me. Experimenting and trying out different things with the camera is the best way to learn. And if you know anyone one into photography ask questions and get advice. I am still learning and still have much to learn
