As I look at this photo and it's lack of "likes" or "awards" It points out the fact that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". I have taken many photos which moved me emotionally when I took them only to experience a lack of interest by viewers of the photo. Then I try to understand why few but me saw the art in what I did. On the flip side I have taken photos which I felt just "OK" about and I get a very positive reaction by the viewing public. I feel what you were striving for in this interesting shot. Maybe in this shot, there was too much happening behind the subject (lobster pots) and not enough focus on the subject. sometimes this changes a photo to a "snapshot". I am just guessing on this but this process is what keeps me going as I continue to learn the "art of photography. Keep up the great work

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I think I uploaded this image right when I started out on viewbug, and didn't submit it to any challenges or contests. I think one needs to enter an image into as many as possible to get the exposure, so I don't lose any sleep about the number of 'awards' or 'likes'. Of course, if an image has been viewed hundreds of times and fails to elicit any response, then I'd probably wonder where I went wrong.
