One of the unspoilt Jurassic places in the UK, possibly in Europe! This place is a bit of a hike to get to but it's always breathtaking what ever the weather, but when you do get a light show.. It's heart stopping.

Behind The Lens

Location

This capture is of mupe Bay on the Juassic coastline of Dorset,England ,UK. I have loved photography since I was 12, having my first SLR at 13 in the early 80s, mainly self taught serious enthusiast ,in 2011 I Decided to change or add a different subject matter, joining a good friend of mine Andy Farrier, a known gifted landscape Photographer, took me to this location one early morning along with two other local photography legends Mark Bauer and Anthony Spencer, I was lucky for my first visit to be graced with a stunning sunrise.

Time

This was approx 6am in March 2011 if memory serves me right.

Lighting

Nothing fancy a simple 4x Nd filter F11 ,

Equipment

This was actually taken on my smaller travel micro four thirds believe it or not, a Lumix G1 with 14-48mm lens and tripod if course, with standard electronic remote cord

Inspiration

The location it's self was the inspiration, this unspoilt Jurassic landscape is truly breathtaking, sometimes you just become in ore of it and get distracted LOL..hard to focus at times. ..but it's worth looking away from the view finder, so you can record your own memory, or.whats the point of the experience?

Editing

Not.much at all, just maybe shadow highlights on foreground rocks

In my camera bag

These days, I own a Canon 6D, 17-45mm F4 , Canon 85mmF1.8, Canon 24mm F1.4 L , Canon 80-200mm F2.8L a Sigma 15mm F2.8 and a sigma 15mm F2.8 Macro. Speed lights canon 580 and Yong 600 which amazing.

Feedback

Remote places like these , just planning , or accompany someone who been there before, many places of outstanding natural beauty, can sometimes have their hazards, especially if you on your own as often no cellphone signal. By all.means be Inspired by other photographers but try different aspect, composition. .make it your own.
