Friday May 19, 2016. I saw the sky turning pink; ran to grab my gear and headed down to Wellington Point, near Brisbane in Queensland, in the south end of beautiful Moreton Bay. By the time I rolled into the car park, the colours were radiating across the sky. Beautiful reds, oranges, pinks on an intense blue backdrop. This photo was the last of the series I took that night. Taken on the new Pentax K-1 full frame with a Samyang 14mm wide angle lens, I am delighted at the beautiful colour it pulled, but also the fine detail it captured, especially in the lights across the bay. This one will join a set of prints I plan to offer in fine-art paper, run from my Epson 7880 wide format printer. (my ref K1SB0608)
