I love this rickety old timber jetty, which is over a hundred years old and holds a lot of memories of young boys spending summer holidays fishing off these jetties while sailors moored their boats off private jetties similar to this one. This area is known as the "Lota Mud Flats" and other parts of the bank to Lota Creek has taken prisoner many old timber boats, which are literally stuck in the mud among the mangroves. On this particular afternoon a lone fisherman in red t-shirt found solitude, sitting at the end of the jetty while casting his line in the hope of hooking a decent feed for the night.
