Behind The Lens

Location

The Photo was taken on Birkenhead docks in Liverpool.

Time

It was late afternoon just before sunset.

Lighting

The sun was low just before sunset. The sky was clear. The dock lights had not come on so it was nice and soft.

Equipment

I used a nikon D90 with a 18 -105 kit lens. F/5.0 at 58mm ISO 400 1/220 sec. It was three shots with 1 stop difference blended in photoshop HDR.

Inspiration

All the different greens and blues. It just looked cool.

Editing

Just HDR blended 3 shots. Then a bit of sharpening in photoshop.

In my camera bag

I have a Nikon D7200, 35 and 55 prime lens and a 18-200 3.5 5.6 Lens.

Feedback

I have not been long into photography (about 3 years) so my advice as a beginner would be to take everything you think is interesting. Also try to reproduce something you like in other photographs. This shot was done using settings from a magazine as a start point. The next thing is practice i have far more rubbish photos than i have good ones.
