Behind The Lens

Location

Yorkshire, I was climbing a mountain with my brother, who is in the photo and my dad. We went off the path because we were using a very old book which managed to get us lost and we ended up at a tarn which we walked around and begin to try and get back on the actual path by ascending up the side of the mountain as we were doing this I turned around and took this photo of my brother emerging from the fog.

Time

I can't remember exactly and my camera's date and time is wrong but I'm guessing it was around Mid day.

Lighting

It was quite a sunny day but because of the fog it was actually kinda hard to see where you were going. From this it makes it so you can actually see how thick the fog really is because you can still see the detail in the grass and my brother.

Equipment

All I had on me was a FujiFilm bridge camera which I took the photo with.

Inspiration

The reason I took the photo at the time was because it felt like we had accomplished something escaping the fog and getting back on the path. As well it was the perfect moment because it was just as my brother was emerging from the fog and he looks really determined to keep going, with his head down.

Editing

The only thing I did was make the photo black and white on Photoshop.

In my camera bag

If I go out with the intent of taking photos I literally just take my Nikon D3300.

Feedback

Even though I wasn't out there really early I imagine you could easily take a similar photo by just going out early in the morning.
