Behind The Lens

Location

The Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, Utah

Time

Sunset

Lighting

The last few minutes of light

Equipment

Canon Rebel t3i, 18-55mm stick lens, tripod

Inspiration

Photos of the piers from the ruins of the Great Saltair.

Editing

I increased the saturation of the magenta and purples in Lightroom. Edited out a plane in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel t3i, 18-55mm, 50mm f/1.8, intervalometer, manfrotto tripod with ball head

Feedback

Very long expsosures (30 seconds to 2 minutes). Be there for the sunset and a while afterwards. It won't look quite this intense to your eyes. There is a little bit of post processing to do but not much.
