Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken on Blackpool pier during a rare summers day in May.

Time

The midday sun melted the clouds away.

Lighting

Lighting was natural.

Equipment

I snapped this on m iPhone 6, I was having trouble getting the shot I wanted with my Nikon D3200.

Inspiration

Natural images of landscapes are usually my main subject, I decided I'd like to capture the colourful, magical atmosphere of the seaside. Additionally I decided to experiment with composition, moving away from centrally placed subjects. I was thinking 'look up!'

Editing

I don't regularly process my photos, however I really did want that vibrant and bright image of seaside fun, I do brightened the colours and increased the contrast.

In my camera bag

This I would like to know from others! I often struggle to decide, I'm more of an all or nothing type. I certainly always have my phone st the least.

Feedback

I don't often fire off lots of shots, I prefer to position myself differently and move around as much as possible prior to taking the photograph to ensure the best results possible.
