I love this picture because it sums up most of my summers growing up. I used to spend hours alone at the beach that is just a few steps away from my parents house. Every afternoon at around 5 pm I would go down to the beach and stay there until almost 10 pm reading, watching the world around me and taking pictures when my gut told me to. This is one of those pictures.Lighting
this pic in particular just fell into place by being in the right spot at the right time, and believe it or not I haven't done anything to retouch it. Just natural beauty.Equipment

I think that people need to enjoy the moment more and not plan so much. Life has a way of surprising you if you pay close attention. And take your camera everywhere! even if you think you won't use it, take it, you will kick yourself if you miss something.
