Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken along one of the back trails at Wehrspann Lake in Nebraska. My goal that day was to go out and practice focusing. And voila !! I came across the perfect subject.

Time

The photo was taken on a beautiful day in May just before 6 pm.

Lighting

Along the trail there are very tall trees, but the path was lit by the sun just enough to create a perfect setting.

Equipment

This photo was shot using the Nikon D90, 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 lens. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

Nature is always a big inspiration for me. As I was walking along the trail that day, I could see the light was just perfect and in the distance I could see this bunny. I knew I need to capture this moment.

Editing

I really didn't do much to this photo. I definitely cropped some and sharpened to make the bunny pop !

In my camera bag

I normally carry my Nikon D90. As for lens, I mostly carry the 70-300 mm, 18-105mm and 60mm .

Feedback

I love everything nature. So when it comes to taking photos of bunnies, deer or even small insects, you have to have patience. We are on their time, so patience is key.
