This photo was taken at my grandmother's house in the countryside in Hungary. This flower was just so beautiful, no editing was needed, just cropping. I am an amateur hobby photographer. I would love to take a photography class one day to learn the basics, because all of my current knowledge comes from experimenting.Time
If I remember correctly this was taken in the afternoon and was not the first photo of the day. I may have taken pictures of about 30 other flowers, at least 3 pictures of each. Then i saw this tiny sun.Lighting
Light was on my side; this is just natural lighting.Equipment
Believe it or not this was shot with my Samsung phone before I got my first professional camera earlier this summer. If I could re-take this shot with my Canon now...Inspiration
Simply the beauty of this flower was inspiration enough. Then I tried to position the flower in a way that I thought created a balance and highlighted the flower.Editing
The only post-processing I did was crop the picture. I tried to do more but shortly realized no additional processing could have made it a better photo; it was already perfect. In my camera bag
Since I just got my first Canon (EOS 1300D), I have a lot to learn. For now, I just pack my camera and its accessories including a battery charger; you never know when you might need it :)Feedback
I really enjoy discovering the key elements of that perfect photo by experimenting myself. My approach probably leads to slower learning and certainly a photography course is necessary in the future. However, the feeling of understanding and discovering something on your own is priceless. The photos you produce are entirely yours, your knowledge, and your unique individual style.
