Located in the south eastern part of Newfoundland, The region hear is called Lawn Head. Also this site of 3, 1942 US ships that where blown into the shore by heavy storms.
Two destroyers ,USS Wilkes and USS Truxtun, as well as a supply ship USS Pollux. The USS Wilkes was refloated that night. The other two remain still to this day.

My story now.

I did not come here knowing this. My town of birth is not far from here. At this point I had not been here in many years. My grand mother was in the hospital. I was blessed with a paid for trip to visit her. Around this time digital photography was just becoming popular. I had purchased a Kodak digital camera just before this trip. One of my aunts, a cousin and a friend of my aunt and myself went on a wander about.

The waterfall on the far side is about the same height as the point where I shot this photo. I crawled up as close as I dared get to get this. This photo does not even come close to the awe and splendor of this place.
