Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a lake by a small town in St.Helena, nothing better than seeing this sunset after a nice stroll by the lakeside.

Time

After a morning of fishing and afternoon of hiking to finish off a beautiful sunset that had to be captured.

Lighting

I wanted to capture what nature has to share with us, capturing the natural lighting and shadows as well as the reflection is what makes this one of my favorite photos.

Equipment

This is actually shot with an IPhone 6 camera. After a long day of fishing and hiking my camera was out of juice.

Inspiration

The sheer warmth of the sunset was what drew me to pull my phone out and snap the photo.

Editing

I did a little messing with the warmth as well as the definition, Not much I can do directly from the iPhone although there is a really good app called Camera+ that I highly recommend.

In my camera bag

I am just starting out as a photographer and what I have in my bag is usually just my camera, Nikon CoolpixL330

Feedback

Something I would highly recommend is not to force a picture. When you look around and feel as if there is nothing inspiring around what I like to do is just walk around and go about my normal day, and the perfect situations usually happen at the most random of times.
