I took the picture early in the morning on a Saturday. This is the time of the day when our cat is most affectionate and calm, which is the easiest time to capture a photograph of him.Lighting

The smile on our cat's face inspired me to take the picture as he seemingly enjoyed the sunlight through the windows with the warmth and comfort of my legs under the covers. He is a beautiful cat, sometimes pretty majestic looking, and this was one of those moments, I couldn't pass up taking a picture of him.Editing

I always have my phone or camera with me where ever I go because if something catches my eye, I don't want to miss the perfect opportunity or memory. Our cat is one of my main subjects because he is corky and goofy but at the same, so photogenic.
