I took this photo in April of 2016, while on a St Johns River Eco Cruise, near DeBary, FL. Our guide pulled the boat right up to the shore, and we saw this amazing sight - three barred owls! He said this family of owls is there every day waiting for him! (He brings them mice to eat) We saw gators, blue herons, and many other beautiful birds on our cruise!Time

This was taken with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone camera! No flash, nothing special. I just got really lucky with this shot!Inspiration
I am a blogger, and I was given passes to the cruise in exchange for a review on my blog. I took about 200 pictures, but this is one of my favorites! The little family of owls waiting was a great photo opp! Unfortunately, I didn't get any good shots of the owls swoopng down to grab the dead mice. I was very pleased with how well this shot turned out though!Editing

As a blogger, I usually just use my phone. I have a couple of older Canons that are used occasionally. But my phone is always with me. My Dad is a sports photographer, but I know very little about it. I just take pictures of people, places and things I love!Feedback
Take several shots so you can pick your favorite! You can never have too many pictures. And when photographing animals, be quick!
