Location
This picture was taken in a little park in Natchitoches, LA. This was a beautiful waterfall that went down into the center of the park. I've always liked taking pictures of things with different textures, shapes, color, etc. Just anything that is different and unique. As I was staring at the waterfall I happened to notice this one little plant struggling to survive. It was the only color in a lot of brown. It was so neat that it was growing out of the side of a rock. I've actually wanted to go back one day and see if it's still there. I myself like to go off alone and explore, so I kinda felt a connection with the little guy. Sounds kind of strange I'm sure. I'm glad you all have enjoyed the picture.Time
This was taken around mid-morning.Lighting
Nothing exciting I'm sorry to say. Just pure sunshine!Equipment
Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi.Inspiration
I just like the little plant that was growing all alone out of the side of the rock. I imagined it to be very strong to survive there.Editing
About the only thing I did was to brighten the colors a little. In my camera bag
I now use a Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I have 3 lenses: 28-135 mm Ultra sonic, Canon EFS 18-55 mm, and a Canon 75-300 mm. I care the battery charger for my camera. I keep small micro cloths to clean the lens. I also have extra memory cards just in case.Feedback
I'm still relatively new at photography. I'm still learning myself. Just remember that when you find something you like look at it from a couple different directions. You may have a better shot from a different angle. Make sure there are no shadows to get in your way. Also have patience. Many a time I've had what I thought was the perfect shot and have someone get in the way. If you want it bad enough you'll take your time.
