It was done at night so I could get a dark room to work inLighting
My light sources for this photo are plexiglass blades from Light Painting Brushes and Liteblades with Klarus, LED Lenser torches attached.Equipment
I use a Sony a7 with a Canon 17-40mm L lens attached, a manfrotto tripod and the plexiglass blades to produce the light trails.Inspiration
I enjoy light painting and wanted to try more abstract work, my recent photos have been inspired by Patrick Rochon's blade work.Editing

It's quite a simple set up. Camera on tripod, focus on the area that you will be waving the light source. Camera set to bulb mode with f/11,ISO 200 and WB daylight. Release the shutter with the remote wave the lights and close the shutter. It's a case of practicing until you get something you like
