Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in her home when she lived in Kingsport TN

Time

close to 2pm i believe could have been later

Lighting

Nothing special about the lighting. Just some bounce light off the ceiling to reduce some shadows some.

Equipment

At the time this was taken I did not have much in equipment yet. I had a canon 60D with the kit lens of 18-135mm. I had two canon speedlights 430exii on some simple mini tripods.

Inspiration

She liked her fish net hose. So I suggested we take some body part shots. She did not think they would good but after she saw the picture in camera she changed her mind. Later she told me after she showed her husband the picture he loved the shot also.

Editing

Did not do to much to the picture. I did adjust the blacks some and put a vignette around the picture after cropping in a little

In my camera bag

Did not have lot or equipment at this time. I have a canon 60D camera with the kit lens of 18-135mm. Two canon speedlight that are 430EXii. Two mini tripods that i put the flashes on.

Feedback

shoot a little wide. that way you can crop in the way you want it take your time make it enjoyable for you and your subject. sometimes getting close will make your subject nervous. show them the pictures from the back of your camera as you shoot. It will increase their confidence and you can explain your vision to them better.
