Behind The Lens

Location

this image was taken on a short walk to summer hill force in the picnic area of Bowlees Middleton in Teasdale

Time

this was taken around mid afternoon early autumn

Lighting

the image is straight out of camera I used a long exposure to capture the water in this way

Equipment

taken on canon 5dmkii with canon17-40mm lens King joy tripod and cable release

Inspiration

I absolutely love shooting waterfalls I think it is the peaceful force of the water tumbling over the rock formation that makes for a relaxing scene

Editing

this image was straight out of camera

In my camera bag

I normally carry 2 canon bodies 5d mkii and canon 50d also I carry canon 70-300mm lens, cqnon 17-40mm lens, canon 28-80mm lens and a set of mixed filters from ND Grads to 10 stop filter, tripod

Feedback

I always shoot in raw and fully manual depending on light normally 1 to 2 second exposure would capture this sort of image you could risk blurring the water more if you use a longer exposure I always try to use aperture F14 camera must be on a tripod and use a cable release or 2 second timer to rule out camera shake
