Location
This photo was taken in my back yard, looking toward the horse stalls and pasture.Time
This photo was taken late afternoon / early evening.Lighting
The clouds had finally moved on, revealing a beautiful sunset. I personally thought the sunset, the colors of the double rainbow and the reflection off the water made a beautiful combined natural lighting effect that could never be recreated.Equipment
This scenery was photographed with a Canon Rebel T3 camera with a Canon 35-80mm general lens with no flash. No other lenses or equipment were involved.Inspiration
We had had a severe storm, and after the tornado sirens stopped, I opened the back door to see if there was any damage. I noticed the double rainbow over the horse stalls and the reflection off the water, and it took my breath away. It was absolutely beautiful and a great reminder of how beautiful things can come out of terrible circumstances.Editing
I am not a professional photographer and I just take pictures as a hobby. I am not very good at processing, photoshop or any other enhancement means. I have only taken 3 photographs in my life that came out nearly perfect straight from the camera, and this is one of them.In my camera bag
I am not a professional photographer, and I do not have a lot of money, so I do not have much. Canon Rebel T3 camera, a Canon 35-80mm lens, a Canon 80-200mm lens, a small tripod that is never used, backup batteries and a charger is all I have!Feedback
Since I only do photography as a hobby, I do not have any insights as to how to angle, create perfect lighting or ideas on what photos to take. If I happen to see something that I think is beautiful or inspires me, I just take out my camera and do the best I can. I personally believe that photography is something that should inspire the individual to their own taste, ideas and vision, as everyone is different. Take a picture, take a thousand pictures! Make them sharp and colorful, make them blurry and offset. Do whatever it is that makes you feel happy and fulfilled as only you can.
