Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken near the entrance of an Old Gold Mine in New Zealand.

Time

This would of been taken around 3pm, we had hiked up and around paddocks and hills to gain entry into this luscious forest.

Lighting

I wanted the lighting to imply that my model was leaving the comfort of the light and entering the mystery of the dark Cave as shown by the light on her back. Bu I also made sure to have enough lighting around her face to show her expression

Equipment

Funnily enough the only equipment I used were my Samsung Galaxy S6 and the amazingly simple but effective settings it comes with.

Inspiration

We had just finished our hike and arrived at the Cave and I loved the curiosity and anticipation the model had on her face. And I didn't need to tell her to do anything as she was already in the perfect placement.

Editing

No I do not

In my camera bag

All i had in my bag was snacks and water. It's the benefits of just using a phone

Feedback

All I can say is dont try to hard to create the perfect shot. As I said in this shot I didn't have to do anything other than just take the shot. So try and look for that great shot not create it. But other than that lighting is key really.
