Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo inside an Atlantik Wall bunker in Scheveningen, Netherlands

Time

I took the picture in the afternoon

Lighting

It was a dark place so I used flash

Equipment

A canon 60D, A canon 10-18 STM IS and a canon 430 EX Flash

Inspiration

A bunch of volunteers started a project to dig out the old Atlantik wall bunkers in my city, restore them and open them for the public as historic musea to educate new generations about the history of my city during the world war 2 era. The Atlantik wall was a coastal defense system consisting of a row of bunkers along the coastline, stretching from the top of Norway all the way down to southern France. They were build by the Germans while making use of local workers in order to defend against possible invasion forces coming from the sea. This picture shows one of the blast proof metal doors inside the bunker.

Editing

Yes, I fiddled around with google's nik collection of filters

In my camera bag

As much as my sense of "comfortable weight" allows.

Feedback

I had the camera on aperture priority and turned EV 3.3 steps down, EOS handled the rest.
