Location
At one of my families favorite fishing spots, it's a quiet little public park near our home. Early in the a.m. or sit all day - there are never so many people as to have your peace & quiet disturbed! While my husband sets up for fishing - I start taking pictures. I fish too. I prefer taking pictures though!Time
About 5:30 a.m. when God calls in to say Good A.M. Beautiful World.Lighting
Fujifilm built in flash. I tried with the flash & I tried without the flash. It was a little bit too dark yet without the flash.Equipment
Fuji Finepix S8600 digital camera with built in flash. Fujinon Lens 36x Superwide 25-900mm zoom.Inspiration
The beautiful colors of the sunrise was absolutely serene. I'm a big fan of sunrise & sunset. The sunrise indicates another day has been gifted to us. A sunset means I've lived to witness another day in my & my families life & I am truly grateful for every second I'm Blessed with. I lost both my mother (at age 63) & my sister (at age 60) to cancer & I feel I have to enjoy life for them.Editing
I did a little cropping off the sides to get the focus a little more on the shadows & silhouettes of the branches & grasses. In my camera bag
I always have my Samsung cell phone ready to snap a picture. But when there is something THIS stunning, I pull out my Fuji FinePix S8600. I always have extra AA batteries and a nice clean lens cloth in the bag too. It's all I own. I try to create as good as I can with what I have. If I need a photo edit - I use a free download on my computer called "Photoscapes". It's user friendly & FREE!Feedback
When the scene makes you FEEL something - take the picture from every angle! I stood on a rock, I walked along the shore and took several photos in the hopes of capturing one that I truly thought could be a framer! I'm never in too big of a hurry. I will stop along side of the road to snap a moment. Whether it is of birds or clouds or trees or buildings, I see beauty in everything! One thing I do need to practice more of though - take 20 pictures - maybe only keep ONE! Print a couple. I have a drawer full of camera discs & flash drives FULL of pictures. My kids will just throw them away one day I'm sure. I simply can't bring myself to erase them! I enjoy looking back in time & feeling the emotions I was feeling when I took that particular photo!
