This is a lovely photo, but doesn't meet challenge criteria of receiving a "Summer 2020" award from ViewBug and I removed it. Please check your Awards section and enter the photo that received the Summer 2020 award, the green leaves and buds omg-8495 . Thank you, Kathy

Location
The photo was taken on one of the beaches in Zadar, on teh Adriatic coast of Croatia. I was actually just playing with zoom and focus, and searching for what I thought it's the perfect angle.Time
It was spring, in the late afternoon... I was waiting for the golden hour and sunset. Alfred Hitchcock once said that the sunset of Zadar is the world’s most beautiful and incomparably better than in Key West, Florida. I was lucky enough to study and live there for five years, and every day it was a different kind of beautiful. These scenes aren't anything unusual in Zadar, the beauty that small city on the Adriatic coast has is unmeasurable.Lighting
I always loved playing with sunbeams and silhouettes, there's something mysterious in those kinds of photos and at the same time they can inspire your imagination to run wild, especially if you shoot people.Equipment
I used Canon 700D, 18-135 mm. No other equipment was used for this photo.Inspiration
I wanted to take a photo which would scream 'The summer is coming! The careless time full of hot days and warm nights is going to be here soon!'. At the same time, I was looking for minimalistic beauty that people see every day but maybe aren't aware of it. This plant grows really low on the ground, so maybe people don't notice it at all, or they look at it from high...but there's always a different point of view, there's a different angle that can give a totally different perspective. It's the same in life, actually. There's beauty in simple things, and there's always a different point of view in any situation.Editing
I didn't do any post-processing, this is the photo as it was taken. In my camera bag
I never leave the house without my Canon EOS 700D and 18-135 mm lens. From time to time, I use a tripod, but that's basically it.Feedback
If you ever find yourself on the Adriatic coast, or in Zadar, just wait for that sunset. Wait for that time of the day when everything calms down. Wait for the golden hour. Find your perfect place. Use that combination of sun, sea and Mediterranean flora and create magic moments. With nature at its best, you won't need much equipment or post-processing. Everywhere you look, you'll find an inspiration, you'll get ideas running in your head and I'm sure you'll capture the moments you'll never forget. Once you've done that, sit by the sea and enjoy the view.
