On my way into work one morning this image stopped me dead in my tracks. This is normally a hive of activity in normal office hours but this particular morning I'd gone in early. It was well worth the early start.

Location
The photograph was taken was taken in London along the "More London Place" walk way heading towards city hall and tower bridge. I often walked this route to work. During my lunch breaks this area was usually awash with people, be they tourists or office workers. Often the tourists would stop to take pictures of this view. It's a well aspect of a very famous landmark where new glass fronted buildings frame the historical attraction stalwart of Tower Bridge. On this particular morning I had gone to work early. The office I worked in is directly to the left of this image. I was in a world of my own and just happened to glance up due to the morning Sun being so powerful. It is usually a much more shaded area. The view was so impressive that I had to take a picture. I am a keen amateur photographer and knew that any professional or seasoned photographer would have made a much better job of this with their 'proper' equipment but it was a 'right place, right time' shot and tomorrow the clouds may have been covering the sky and it may have been more busy etc. I had to have this shot now. I'm happy with the outcome.Time
This would have been around 07:00 during the week. Half hour later and this walkway is thick with commuters. The Sun is perfectly positioned at this time of day to stream down More London Place.Lighting
You need the right time of year. It has to be around the summer months due to the time of day needed for the Sun to be in this area. As I said previously the area is awash with people normally.Equipment
I would love to have had a Nikon or Canon with filters and a tripod but all I had to hand was my Samsung mobile (S5). This was a quick snap which I am delighted with. I do take a lot of photographs with a Canon 1200D (I'm looking to upgrade) so I am not a stranger to perspective, light, shadows, etc that make up a good image.Inspiration
I've seen hundreds, if not thousands of photographers over the years of working in this area taking this shot. It's always a view which I felt lucky to be viewing daily. This particular morning stood out due to the Sun's proximity and the distinct lack of people.Editing
The post-production on this image is only what is applied at the camera. This hasn't been run through Lightroom or Photoshop. I love the way mobile technology handles light. In my camera bag
I'm an amateur looking to invest in my hobby. I currently have the old trusty Canon 1200D. I'm looking to invest in either A Nikon or Canon but I'm undecided at present.Feedback
Get up early! See the places that attracts the tourists and try to 'see' their vision. Then come back when the weather suites the area (not always sunny is best) and when the conditions will be the most favourable. I got lucky with this shot but then again I'd walked this walk way thousands of times so I guess I had to get lucky eventually.
