Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken outside in the barn. It was just one of my first photos taken for my photography class

Time

I took the photo around midday I was outside taking photos of the barn and thought the light was great to use for a portrait.

Lighting

The actual space was dark with light trickling in. So I chose a spot where the light was the brightest.

Equipment

This shot was taken on a Nikon d90 with a flash. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I wanted to capture life in the barn. I was walking pasted the owners daughter and saw her peaking around the corner and thought It was a great photo.

Editing

The photo didn’t require much editing first I sharpened the photo, to make the textures in the wood and door clearer. I then edited the white balance before focusing on the eyes. To make the eyes clear selected the irises then I duplicated the layer changed it to a soft light. Then used a high pass layer under to make them clear. I then used the dodge burn tool to add a shine to her eyes.

In my camera bag

I carry my Nikon with me every I go. However I only carry my two lens 30-80mm and 80-200mm

Feedback
