Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my kitchen counter with natural northern light coming from the window.

Time

I found this pomegranate on the ground early in the morning as I was having my coffee in my garden. I picked it up and right away I thought of photographing it with it's beautiful crack showing its seeds.

Lighting

The natural light was perfect in my kitchen coming from the side window, and so I placed it on the counter and had the best northern lighting on it. It was the perfect set up.

Equipment

I used my Canon 5D MarkII 24-70 lens. I shot it with 70mm with 4.0 apperture to bring out the "smile" on the pomegranate.

Inspiration

The simplicity and the natural beauty of the pomegranate.

Editing

All I did in my Lightroom was to enhance the texture and the color.
