A beautiful picture of a beautiful woman. A nude done right, but it falls short of a top ten for me. First and foremost is in a gallery about long hair the hair get lost in the composition. It's dark and the detail just isn't there. Try some highlight lamps to bring out detail and show off the healthy luster of that beautiful head of hair. That's where the emphasis needs to be. The hair.
Secondly I'd get rid of the hotspot between the feet. With the dark surrounding it it's like a beacon. You can't escape it no matter where you look. I give 7.5 out of 10. If this were in a category about nudes you would rate over 9. It's all about knowing your subject and emphasizing it.

Thank you. This was taken a few years ago when I was starting out :-) I've never met another model with such luscious long hair as Madame Bink.

I find this imae absolutely stunningly beautiful in it's simplicity. "Madame Bink" is gorgeous, and I love her small frame that her beautiful hair surrounds her like a blanket. I find the composition perfect, and love miss Bink's shapely contrast to the gradient of the background that leads down to the reflective floor, extremely well done in lighting. I absolutely love long hair, and most girls with this length I have found to be of Eastern and Central European, like Ukraine, Moldova, Polish, and Russian descent, if you are looking for others with this kind of hair.

I'm sorry, but with all due respect, Charles, you are very wrong, even on the verge of insulting. Your particular taste may be different than others, and your expression of an art form will most certainly vary from others.
There could be a problem with your monitor, because I see all the shadow details perfectly fine on my monitor, NEC MultiSync PA241w. I do not see where you find the "hair is lost in the composition" in a gallery about long hair, when that is the subject to begin with? As far as a "hot spot" between the feet, I do not see that either. I believe you have a monitor problem and should make proper adjustments accordingly.
As much as everyone can appreciate critique, as it is the idea here, yours may be from an improperly calibrated monitor.

I think everyone's opinion is fine. Just be respectful. Now for mine: I think this is a great shot because of the diamond hot spot that compliments the shape nearby in her body. It makes it stand out. Is the hot spot also saying she is a diamond among women? Or is it a provocative idea being portrayed? Either way, I'm of the belief that if a photo gets you to start thinking about its intentions, good or bad or just thinking, then it's done something right. Therefore, I really like this composition and lighting. Maybe another version that does accentuate her hair a little more, but then that might draw attention away from the diamond shape and the other patterns it is alluding to.
