Location
This photo was taken at the Theater Royal in Glasgow (Scotland).Time
The photo was taken at 2PM, whilst scouting for locations to hold launch party for the creative collaboration group -Forij- I am part of.Lighting
I really focused on allowing the darker parts of the picture to create movement within the picture. My reasoning behind this, was to show the fluidity of the oddly shaped staircase.Equipment
Shot hand-held, on a Canon 5DMiii with a 50mm 1.4 Sigma Art Lens.Inspiration
I really wanted to capture the form of the stair case and how people interacted with it. This being one of the main attractions of the building, I thought to shoot it in the middle and almost give the essence of its importance when it comes to accessing the full potential of the building.Editing
I usually shoot on Film so I aim to get the right results without any post-processing. All my black and white digital photos in full colour first; and then follow on to use Adobe Light room to DE-saturate it. This I believe gives me more range between my Blacks and Whites. In my camera bag
Pentax K1000 Film camera, with a 50mm and a 18-70mmFeedback
Walk around and look at different perspectives before taking a picture. Watch how the light reacts with it in different places and if you see people around, be patient and try to judge where they might move. Watch them through your viewfinder as they move around your point of focus.
