Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Somers Beach, Victoria, I'm still very new to photography, I keep experimenting and learning, I get much inspiration from ViewBug.

Time

It was about 1-2pm we had just had lunch and decided to take our newly adopted Pebbles from a walk and swim. Perfect summers day, we were the only 3 on the beach, so tranquil and still.

Lighting

This was taken in full sun overhead. Some of my favourite images have been taken like this.

Equipment

Using a polarised filter this shot was taken with a Olympus - OMD-EM5 11 using a 14-150mm lens.

Inspiration

I often take my camera down to the beach looking for some inspiration, something to help boost my creativity. The water was so clear and still that day I thought I would play around remembering some beautiful images I have seen on ViewBug and got this gem.

Editing

Yes, I often play around on Lightroom on my iPad helps the image pop. I'm not 100% sure with what I did here but I know I've done something.

In my camera bag

Being a very new unexperienced photographer I carry very little, my camera, polarised and gradient filters and spare battery!

Feedback

This particular day was very still, calm and sunny. Personally I would recommend just have fun with you photos, take you camera with you every chance you get. Don't be worried about full sun exposure, experiment, get inspiration where you can and always have a spare battery.
