Behind The Lens

Location

I was just sitting on my back stairs in Brisbane (Australia) playing with my camera's settings until I realised I had a little assistant wanting to help.

Time

It was late afternoon, A typical lazy sunny Australian evening.

Lighting

Natural light

Equipment

Sony a3500, I'm new to photography and the camera was my first. I was originally unsure if this was the camera for me. Its not a Cannon or Nikkon but I have had experience with sony video camera's and decided it was worth the gamble.

Inspiration

I couldn't resist, the little guy wouldn't let me.

Editing

Not on this photo, or on any uploaded to viewbug but I have been known to use lightroom and photoshop.

In my camera bag

I'm just an amateur and unfortunately do not have a large amount of equipment o my bag consists of my camera, a single 18-55 lens along with some cleaning equipment and spare memory cards.

Feedback

Having a shallow focal point and choosing the right part of the image to focus makes on a huge difference, the best way is to get out there and experiment. I also have this image in colour but the black and white just speaks to me.
