Location
I am a self taught photographer that loves to observe life through the lens of my camera. This photo was the night of a jazz concert of a close friend. He is a gifted artist that combines melody with art. I was standing behind him and watching the emotions he showed as he prepared for his set. The band was so smooth and the atmosphere just exuded peace and tranquility. The B&W concept was an added effect as it brought me back to feelings of watching jazz musicians in the small back street clubs in New Orleans. The light effect seemed as though God was saying "It's your time to shine" and I felt like he was talking me and the musician at the same time.Time
this was 10 pm at night on a warm Saturday in Jacksonville..Lighting
3 slightly different versions and the other pics are all in colorEquipment
the shots has at least three different versions from two separate photographers in nearly the same position. I used the Nikon D7000, with an ISO of 1600, on a tripodInspiration
I couldn't sit in the crowd to enjoy the show since i was helping with the backstage haps... Sitting there, i saw an opportunity.. I took it.Editing
